Craft Of The Week

Clay necklaces!  This past week in Sunday School, our lesson was about Luke 4:18 and how God loves all types of people.  We made clay hearts and I baked them at home to make them into necklaces. I bought extra clay so I'd be able to do this at home with Rylan and Mackenzie too.  However, Mackenzie chose to just play with PlayDoh since the clay was more difficult to sculpt with.

PlayDoh is another thing that keeps the kids busy for long amounts of time - we should do it more.  The mess always keeps me from getting it out, but I'm not sure why.  Just wipe the extra crumbs on the floor, let them dry out for an hour, then sweep it up and into the garbage.

Here are the hearts my Sunday School kids made.  No I don't have 21 students, they just made extra.

And here are Rylan's creations with a few extra hearts I made for kids who were gone.

Rylan wants to put the big spiral into a frame for his room.  Not sure how I'm going to get that one done yet.
