Shutterfly

If you are searching for a photo website to use or you are frustrated with your current site, I encourage you to visit shutterfly.  I have been using shutterfly for a few years and I LOVE it!  It's a great site to upload your photos to, it's easy to share them with others, they have awesome products(and they don't require any minimum purchase to keep your photos there), they always have great deals, and their customer service is AMAZING!  I have never had a bad experience with shutterfly, and this year, they have even more adorable holiday card options.

I think my favorite product they have is the photo books. There are so many different options, they are totally customizable, but you can also just upload photos and they will arrange them in a book for you.  So cool!

Below is a photo card I made on shutterfly, adorable isn't it?  If you have any questions about their site, ask away, I would love to answer them for you!

Right now they have some great sales on holiday cards, calendars (which make great gifts) and free shipping if you spend over $25.  So head over and take a peek!

A Picnic and the Christmas Season

The other night, the kids and I had a pizza picnic on the kitchen floor, it was wonderful.  I think we will have picnics more often.

Some people are annoyed that Christmas stuff is already being sold in stores (and has been since before Halloween) but I love it!  The sooner Christmas can come the better!  I think we should start decorating around Labor Day!  So yesterday, we made a gingerbread house and listened to Christmas music all day.  Thank you Martie for the gingerbread pieces, we had a great time!

Summer Flashback

Nick took our camera with him hunting so when my parents were here, I got photos off their camera and look what I found - summer stuff!

Playing at a splash park.

Hugging friend MVJ.

Being brave and following the big girls through the tunnel.

Having a snack after so much fun.  Oh I already miss summer!

Fun Weekend!

My parents came up for the weekend and we've been having a wonderful time.  I love how excited the kids get when "mra-ma" and "brampa" come over, it's so fun to have them here.  We've been doing a lot of little art projects and of course playing.  It was such a beautiful weekend here as well, we got to play at the park today.

Mackenzie stringing pasta on a pipe cleaner.

Rylan's pipe cleaner-pasta necklace.

We still don't have a bench on our locker thingies, so the kids love to dump all their stuff out of the drawers and play in them.

We went to a hockey game all decked out.

They had fun making a fort under the table at the game.

We LOVE Grandma and Grandpa!

Rylan concentrating very hard on cutting.

Mackenzie and Grandpa took a nap together in Kenzie's big-girl bed.

Rylan and Grandpa were spiders and climbed to the top of the web.

Priceless

Mackenzie had to wear her monkey suit around again, she just loves it.

A monkey hiding in the cupboard.

Uncle Spencer came too!

Yes, I took a picture of the inside of my garbage can - to prove to you that I threw away the last 4 binkies!  We took them away 2 weeks ago, but I couldn't bring myself to throw them away even though I have no intention of giving them back to her now.  She is still fussy at night and someone usually has to lay in her bed with her until she's asleep, but other than that, she does pretty well.  So I took the big step and got rid of them today!  Go Mackenzie - you are a big girl!

I know, I know..

I've been horrible at blogging the past few months.  My mom likes to remind me that she checks the blog at least once a day and is disappointed every time.  I've been really bad at taking pictures lately, so I'll post some random ones that are the most recent.

Halloween!  Rylan was a wolf and Mackenzie was a monkey.  The same monkey that Rylan was 2 years ago, she loved it!!!  They both had such a fun time.  We only trick-or-treated for about 2 blocks, and that was far enough, for 2 reasons.  1: We never buy candy, and I didn't care to have any in the house.  2: Those two blocks took long enough, what with Rylan chatting at every house for about 3-5 minutes.  The first thing he did was try to hand out his own candy.  He had brought some along because he wanted to give some out too, what a honey!  The second thing he did was tell the candy-giver all about his costume, and demonstrate the various noises wolves make.  Then he had to sort through his candy and have show-and-tell.  He saved the best for last though, showing off the dollar he got from Grandma Mac.  He's so social, it was cute to watch him interact with adults so well.  Kenzie just thought it was fun to wear a costume and put things in her little bucket.  She was just in heaven running after her big brother from house to house.  It was a wonderful fall evening to spend outside.

These next 2 are from a while ago.  Rylan spent a weekend morning with Nana, Papa, Katie and Brian.  They played pirates and made a costume for him with the newspaper.  He was Pirate Redbeard.

Rylan got to spend a week at the Ranch with Daddy doing some pheasant hunting.  He had so much fun!  Here he is trying on some camo.  (maybe a few more years buddy) :)

Such a honey, always full of smiles.

The guys did pretty well, even got one of the banded birds they raised.
