Out West

We headed west to the Ranch one more time before the summer was over and we another fabulous time. We did all the typical ranch stuff; feeding chickens and horses, canoeing, riding on the utility vehicle, playing in the sand, searching for clam shells in the river and hunting for cool rocks. There was a local county fair going on so we also got to see a rodeo one day. There was bronc riding, calf roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. We had a great time watching all the events and hope to go back next year to see it again.
I didn't really take pictures of all the every day stuff we did, but we did have a little photo shoot on a beautiful day.

We went camping with my dad's side of the family last weekend and we had so much fun! In the family, there is my Grandma, 16 aunts and uncles, 29 cousins + spouses, and 8 great-grand kids. Of all those 54 people, there were only 7 missing. Some could only make it for a day, but we had a blast. The State park we were at has an area with cabins and a few camper sites and we rent them all out, so in that area, we really feel like we're the only ones there, it's so nice. There is a small lake to fish on, a 4-mile cement bike path around the lake, sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, a nice beach, and paddle boats and canoes to rent. We ate, swam, biked, ate some more, played minute-to-win-it games, and ate more. No one goes hungry with our family that's for sure!
Rylan and Mackenzie had a blast with all the other little kids and we enjoyed hanging out with family we don't get to see too often.

The Wiggles!

We went to a Wiggles Live show a few weeks ago because we had gotten some tickets and surprisingly, I didn't hate it! None of us have actually ever seen the TV show so I didn't know what to expect, but it was fun. I didn't know the guys were from Australia, and I had no idea they have been doing the show for 20 years. One of the guys was gone because he recently had surgery, and they said these were the first shows he's ever missed in those 20 years. I'm not sure how old these guys are, but they aren't in their 20's anymore. I was impressed with their energy throughout the show. The music was great and the kids had a fun time.
I also enjoyed the show because we managed to bypass all the crap that is normally sold at these kid shows.

At the farm, we found the old Domino Rally set we had as kids, so Rylan and I had a great time setting up dominoes and putting on shows for everyone. Here is one of them.

One night, the kids were up until 10:30 playing with legos, they and so much fun together!

The Farm

I must have numerous posts with this title, but I'm not that creative when thinking of titles, so obviously, we went to the farm to visit Grandma and Grandpa. My aunt from Texas and her three girls were visiting as well, so we had lots of fun with them! Both Rylan and Mackenzie were loving all the attention from the girls. Rylan still talks about them and asks when we can go to Texas to visit them. Hmmm, we will have to work on that.
