Phone Dump: Christmas Edition!

All my Christmas-y phone photos!

This is what happened on Veteran's Day when the kids had the day off.  We set up the Christmas tree and busted out the Christmas music - it was wonderful!

Nick and Mackenzie reading the newspaper together one morning.

As a family project for Mackenzie's class, we had to decorate a gingerbread man to be hung up in her hallway.  It could be decorated however we wanted and naturally, she wanted to turn hers into a meerkat, her favorite animal.  Here is her inspiration, Cookie, the meerkat.  She spotted this little guy at the grocery store a few years ago and I watched her instantly fall in love.  That was a tough moment as a mom, because could seriously see the love she had for this thing, but I couldn't just buy her a stuffed animal just because.  I told her no and she was near tears when I remembered she had some Christmas money she could spend.  I think I was more relieved than she was!  But anyhow, Cookie has been her favorite stuffed animal since then.

After some work, we finally came up with this for her gingerbread man.  Not too bad I guess.

This was coming home from church one Sunday - everything was covered in frost, it felt like a movie scene it was so pretty!

This was my set-up for wrapping presents and watching a Christmas baking contest show.

I had gotten wrapping paper, ribbon, and tags on clearance after Christmas last year, and it was so fun to have fancy presents under the tree, but the hand decorated bags from the kids were my favorite!

I love our big tree!

What fun memories!
