Sibling Test

My wonderful friend and her husband (Tara and Darin) were in town this weekend with their ADORABLE 2 month old son, August Christopher, so we got together this afternoon for a little visit. I was anxious to see how Rylan would react to a baby in the house, especially when mommy was holding the baby. One time at daycare, I was holding another baby and Rylan didn't like it at all. But, he was great with August and he didn't mind at all when I was holding him. I held August for most of the visit, and Rylan was playing and showing off, but while playing, he would just keep saying, "baby, baby" over and over again, it was so cute! We wanted to take a picture of the two boys together, so we got Rylan situated on the couch with pillows and he wasn't sure at first when we laid August on him, but he did great. August spit his pacifier out and started fussing, so Rylan put it right back in his mouth and they were fine. There were no shortages of "cheeses" during the pictures and when Tara took August away, Rylan got a little mad and kept pointing at August and then hitting the pillow. He wanted him back! He was so gentle, it was encouraging to know that he'll be a great big brother! And as you can see in the pictures, he also had to help carry August to the door in the carseat. We had such a great time and can't wait to see Tara, Darin, and August again!
